I've loved everyone of the Vampire for Hire books so far and thought I'd go ahead and purchase the short stories to find out more about my favorite characters and i really enjoyed them. I do wish Teeth had been a bit longer and had showed us more about Fang (he's such an interesting character and one I can relate to) but I still liked it alot. It was cool to see how Fang got to where he is now and what exactly happened in his past. The rest of the short stories were fun to read also. I also really liked the two deleted chapters at the end. They were really neat but I'm glad he changed up the whole prison scene - you know the one I'm talking about. The one he deleted just didn't come out as well and just didn't make as much sense to me. She couldn't have gotten into and out of a prison that easily in my opinion. The other delted scene was really cool. You get to see what happens when the Prison Warden is questioning her after she mysteriously puts her fist through some bullet proof glass and pummels that jerk :) I really like Samantha Moon: a small (but curvy) private investigater, soccer mom and vampire. Her humor and emotion gets to me. These books are just so much and I get a kick out of her when she's watching Judge Judy. I eagerly await each new book in the series.Product details

I really love this series!! The characters are so vivid and the plots move with constant excitement. Can't wait for the next one! J.R Rain does a great job of weaving believeable characters and fantasy and romance into his stories.
Love the Vampire for Hire series by Rain. The stories seem so real and you can actually get lost in the story and not want to put book down until the end of it. If you love Vampires, then you will love this. Try it, you'll like it!
I have read all of the books in this series so far and am hooked. I keep finding myself thinking Sam should get a little more blood thirsty when dealing with bad guys, but then she would not be who she is.
Vampire for Hire All Three Short Stories
These short stories were great fun for those who follow Samantha Moon and friends.
It fills in a few details you may have wondered about.
What do I mean?
I NEVER give away the plot! ha ha. Well worth the purchase. All J.R. Rain fans should add this to their collection.
A female P.I. that's a divorced Mom, struggling to make ends meet as a single parent, with her child support payments late & she's a vampire. Lol. Great story.
he writes a good quick mystery. i wish they were a little longer so i could sink my fangs into them. but other than that he has my total attention from the first word to the last. it is a fast read. i plan on reading all of his books.. they are a little pricey for the length, but very enjoyable. i'm going to have to space them out, because money is a little tight right now. but if you are not on a budget.. buy away.. i think they are awesome.
After reading my review, I realized I had left out that this Author is a refreshing change from most. He doesn't take his work too seriously. He writes a good tale that is fun to read and leaves you wanting more. I have read several of his books on my and all are light, interesting and most of all enjoyable. The all have the same wit and yet serious enough to keep reading. The Knighthorse series is also very good. I like this guy. I don't have to have his latest release, like Stephen King, but he is great in his own genre. I have no idea what genre that is, but I enjoy his books, all I have read so far.

I enjoyed the hell out of the whole series. Samantha Moon is refreshing and enjoyable. It isn't a classic, just an enjoyable little diversion from Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I read all of them so that says something. Give it a whirl and see what you think. I considered it money well spent. fredt
